Renewal tracking

Every renewal has a date and an owner.

Detent keeps both honest. Contracts, vendor reviews, certificates of insurance and the quiet deadlines nobody put in a calendar sit in one list, with a name against each date and a reminder early enough to change the outcome.

No card to start. Cancel from the settings page, and your export goes with you.

How it works

Three things a spreadsheet cannot do

The list is the easy part. What breaks is everything the list does not know: who owns the date, what happened last time, and whether anyone has been told yet.

One list, every commitment

Contracts, certifications, insurance, security reviews and anything else with a date on it. Import a CSV or forward the confirmation email and Detent reads the date out of it.

A name against every date

Every commitment has one owner and one backup. When somebody leaves, their dates move to their manager rather than going quiet until the renewal lands.

Notice while it still matters

Set the lead time per commitment. A 90 day notice period gets raised at 120 days, in the channel the owner already reads, with last year's terms attached.

Pricing

Priced per person, not per commitment

Adding a renewal should never be a decision about budget. Every plan tracks as many commitments as you have.

Billing period

Showing monthly prices, billed each month. Showing annual prices, billed once a year.

Starter

For one team keeping its first few hundred dates in one place.

$19 $16 per person, per month

Billed monthly. Cancel any time. Billed yearly at $192 per person.

Compare the plans

Every plan tracks unlimited commitments. The differences are in who can see them and what happens to the record. On a narrow screen the table scrolls sideways.

What changed after the first quarter

We had four spreadsheets and a shared calendar, and the only person who understood the whole picture had been here eleven years. Now the picture is the tool, and she takes holidays.
Rosa Herrera Head of Operations, Arcwell
The auto renewal we missed in 2024 cost us more than eight years of this will. That is the whole business case, and it took one afternoon to import everything.

Questions

Before you start a trial

How is this different from a shared calendar?

A calendar tells you a date arrived. Detent tells you a decision is due, who owns it, what was agreed last time, and whether anything has happened since the reminder went out. The date is the smallest part of the record.

Can we import what we already have?

Yes. CSV import on every plan, and a mapping step that runs against your own column names. Most teams are importing within the first hour and correcting owners for a week after that.

What happens when the owner leaves the company?

On Team and Enterprise their commitments move to the named backup, and the manager gets a list of everything that moved. On Starter the commitments stay in place and are flagged as unowned, which is visible on the main list rather than hidden in a report.

Do you support SSO?

SAML and directory sync are on Enterprise. Everything below that is email and password with optional two factor authentication.

How does the annual discount work?

Paying yearly costs the same as ten months. Switch at any point and the change applies from your next invoice, with the unused part of the current period credited.
